Sore & Tired All headachy and sore today. Head hurts... back hurts... arms hurt... ribs and sternum hurt... I be fallin' apart! Also still feeling exhausted. Did a bunch of chores today to try to help out in anticipation of Brett and Max spending the weekend, and us having a massive garage/yard sale Saturday and Sunday (which I still don't want to have to be outside for). As such, I scrubbed the bathroom, hand washed a couple of loads of dishes, mowed the front yard, put out an ungodly number of garbage bags at the curb, and did a couple other things I suddenly forgot. Oh, one was my laundry. God I feel beat to hell. ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Garfield Minus Garfield ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Quote of the MomentVincent Gray: Do you know why you're afraid when you're alone? A Lemon Of A Loaf (And Toy-riffic Awesomeness) So it was written, so it happened: Dad and I went to the comic shop and then to the mall. Actually, we weren't at the mall very long, which is atypical for us. But we did stop at the grocery store afterwards. Happy Canada Day So today was a rather low key Canada Day for me. Which isn't that unusual as I can't remember going to see the fireworks since I was... 11? Maybe 12? As such, I spent the day squirreled up in my bedroom watching movies (when I wasn't doing dishes a couple of times). Finally watched my copy of Death Proof, which I actually ended up liking more than Planet Terror. That was followed later by Dark Rising and I just finished The Sixth Day. Two A hnolds for the price of 1? Sold! Oh, I also watched A Shot In The Dark really, really early this morning Gah. I've got a bad case of cramps. Probably too much junk food while laying down and watching the aforementioned movies. And also worrying about going out tomorrow shopping again (and whether my 3 months delayed figures will finally be in). I just hope it clears up by then. Also queasy, as it feels like I've swallowed a bunch of butterflies too. ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Quote of the MomentPam: **to Jungle Julia and Arlene, away from Stuntman Mike** Look, double-fucks... I am not gonna fuck him! Stuntman Mike: **as he lights a cigarette** I can hear you! **Jungle Julia and Arlene laugh and Pam approaches even closer**Pam: He's old enough to be my da... Wanted in Fifteen Minutes Hey, because it was there and it called to me. It's just about the only way I can write these days--just letting it happen. Note: This is very much an R-rated movie, with the sex and the expletives and the shootings of people in the brain. The language in the recap, parody, whatever you want to call it, is going to reflect that (and trust me, this is the mild version). Also, Wanted is the kind of movie where half the charm of it is in the novelty of the visuals and some really funny surprises, so I'm... actually going to leave several good moments out. Believe me, there's plenty left over. Just--go see it. It's outrageous and stupid and funny and knows it, unlike some movies I could name COUGHTHEHAPPENINGCOUGH. ( So why, exactly, do you take orders from a magic loom? ) Current Music: Danny Elfman, "The Little Things" |

You Can Tell You're Not Welcome When... ► I've had one heck of a tension headache all day and evening. Blah. Slept a lot today. Since I woke up my eyes have been bloodshot and there are dark, purple bags under them. ► That stuff I've said recently about how it sounds like Darren wants me to stay? Scratch that. Couple of hours ago he came up stairs to take one of my DVDs to watch, and told me not to buy anymore when I get money. He then proceeded to ask me different options for me moving out that don't involve moving out at the end of September with Deana. All of which sounded suspiciously like they want me gone now. Of course he didn't say that, though he did stress that they're a young couple about to be married. How selfish of me. Shame I don't have any other options (as always, that lottery thing isn't panning out). Oh, and I am so considering dropping the 2 from my Facebook friends list. Not that they'd necessarily notice. ► Sounds like everyone had a nice time yesterday, driving out to Kingston to see my grandmother, aunt and uncle. I did some stuff around the house (vacuuming, cleaning the upstairs bathroom, washed the dogs dishes...). Also cut my hair last night. My hand and the razor slipped so I had to trim the front and my bangs a little closer than I like, but it looks ok. Turns out Mum is coming down in a couple of weeks to stay with one of her sisters, so I'll be seeing her then. ► Got a lot of stuff I have to pick up this month. Trying to decide if I should get a new comforter for my bed tomorrow or wait a month or two and just live with the big gash down my current one. I suppose I could get it and just put off getting printer ink for a few weeks. ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Quote of the MomentAlex: Appy-polly-loggies. Cause Your Friends Don't Dance, And If They Don't Dance, Well They're No Friends Of Mine Safety Dance by Men Without Hats, greatest song of all time? Only time will tell. Got Our DVDs, & Random Things Yay! My DVDs from Amazon came in today (along with 4 of Dad's; 1 of his won't be shipping until next week, and 2 others in August). I got a notice that the order was shipped on Sunday, so this might be the fastest I've ever received an order from the American branch of the site (when I still ordered from Amazon.ca I got a few orders within 2 days of shipping). I got: ► The Deadly Trackers/ Man In The Wilderness (double feature disc)► Eddie Izzard: Glorious► The Collector► Burnt Offerings► Witchfinder GeneralSweet! ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Random Stuff► Stupid zombie kid is stupid, or a boy who just really likes turtles. ► Well, at least Seinna Miller now looks like the Baroness (early shots of her filming a scene in a war memorial cemetery had her with her natural blonde hair; although why they replaced her glasses with a safety visor is anyone's guess). Still incredibly skeptical about the G.I.Joe movie. ► Amuse and abuse yourself (not that way) with the insult generator. ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------- Quote of the MomentOliver Oxley: **to his buxom, sexy, unqualified secretary** Find someone to type this. - Monkey Business (1952) Current Mood: amused |
